Selling Corning M12 – We Buy New Used M12 (‘s) Top Dollar Paid!

If you’re looking to Sell Corning M12 SM / MM Ribbon Fusion Splicer

The microprocessor controlled Siecor M12 Multifiber Fusion Splicer is designed to create reliable, low-loss optical fiber splice of either individual fibers or fiber ribbons of up to twelve fibers.

Fiber alignment and the fusion splicing process are performed automatically, ensuring consistently good results . Pushing one button starts a sequence which automatically, aligns, optimizes and fuses up to 12 fibers, and then measures and tests the splices for strength. The total time of this operation is one minute.

After selecting the optimal fiber position(s), the M12 uses an electric arc to fuse, or splice the fibers together. The integrated tensile test then checks the strength of the splice point with a tensile force of 4.4 Newtons (a force of approximately 1 pound). A high contrast, color LCD video screen allows you to observe all of the fibers being spliced. Inserts in the fiber handlers are available for single fibers, and for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 -fiber ribbons. These inserts are matched in width to the respective ribbons.

The M12 is shipped with sets of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 -fiber inserts installed in the fiber handlers. Because fiber ribbons can differ both in the number of fibers and in the properties of fiber coating, different fusion parameters are needed for different fiber ribbon types. The M12 provides 7 programs in which you can store different fiber parameter sets. In each program, you can program the fusion current curve for your given application.
